Not all women experience symptoms prior to or following menopause, which is defined as the time when a woman has naturally ceased having menstrual periods for one year. The signs of menopause are caused by the ovaries’ erratic changes in sex hormone production. Most women feel that hormone therapy will improve the balance in hormones, and hence help in curbing memory loss and other related issues.
Menopause is the time when women stop menstruating which occurs, on average, around age 51. Although these two words are often used interchangeably, in medicine, they are distinct ideas. A hot flash is a sudden rush of blood to the face or the chest. Women dealing with infertility that is brought on by premature menopause may want to discuss their options with their doctor or with a reproductive specialist.
